SIBENIK (CROATIA)

Sibenik is placed in the most protected natural harbour on the Adriatic coast. At the entrance into the St. Anthony Strait is the St. Nicholas Fortress, the most important renaissance fortress on the eastern coast of the Adriatic,  The city is renowned for having the largest number of churches in the old centre of all Dalmatian towns. Be sure to visit the Šibenik’s St. James’ Cathedral, unique by its architecture (built entirely of stone slabs and ribs, with no binding materials) included in the register of UNESCO World Cultural Heritage.
