The name of Dubrovnik is derived from the Croatian word Dubrava, which means oak woods as, in the past, oak trees surrounded Dubrovnik. In 1667, Dubrovnik was devastated by a major earthquake which destroyed most of its Renaissance art and architecture. The city was reconstructed in the baroque style  The old town, so remarkably well-preserved, is on UNESCO's list of World Heritage sites.

Herceg Novi  is a town with around 33,000 inhabitants in the Coastal region of Montenegro located at the Western entrance to the Bay of Kotor and at the foot of Mount Orjen . Herceg Novi has had a turbulent past, despite being one of the youngest settlements on the Adriatic. A history of varied occupations has created a blend of diverse and picturesque architectural styles in the city. It is well known as a spa and health center; nearby Igalo has an abundance of healing sea mud called "igaljsko blato" (Igalo mud) and mineral springs called "igaljske slatine" (Igalo springs). Discover castle Forte Mare built by the Bosnian king Tvrtko I in 1382, a clock tower built by Austrians in the 19th century, the Kanli tower built by Turks. Other famous attractions include the various ancient Serbian Orthodox churches and monasteries, which include the Church of St. Ilija, the Church of Preobraženja, the Church of St. Đorđa, the Church of the Holy Salvation (St. Spas), the Church of St. Archangel Michael, and the Savina Monastery.

The old city of Kotor is a well preserved urbanization typical of the middle Ages, built between the 12th and 14th century and is listed with UNESCO World heritage sites. The bay of Kotor is the deepest natural fjord in the Mediterranean Sea. The old town center of Rogoznica is located on the island connected to the mainland by a bridge. The Gradina Peninsula is the site of a salt lake considered to be a natural bioreactor with biochemical processes and surrounded with vertical cliffs measuring up to 24 meters above sea level. The marina (Marina Frapa) is one of the most beautiful marinas in Croatia, with 400 berths. Be sure to visit the small chapel Virgin Mary and the parish church.
